Leadership Development/Teambuilding and Group Performance Improvement
Following the merger of two family-owned, industry leading, global companies we were asked to work with the top management team to help them to accomplish several things.
• Develop more collaborative leadership skills and competencies.
• Work together more effectively as a group.
• Increase the members’ emotional intelligence (EQ).
To complicate matters, the families and their companies were from two different countries, the top management represented six different nationalities, they met jointly only three times each year, membership of the group changed frequently and they were charged with crafting and executing a bold new strategy.
We worked with this group over a period of time to uncover and resolve issues and help them to develop specific leadership skills that would dramatically accelerate the trust building process. We also worked with each leader on an individual and group level, which involved coaching both, the individuals and the team.
This group has markedly increased its EQ metrics, integrated a new CEO and is using its ability to accelerate trust generation as a distinctive competency for competitive advantage.
